A gruesome domestic incident in Kampulei village under Kankadahad Police Station limits in Kamakhyanagar, Odisha has left the community in shock. Bibhuti Sahu, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, stabbed his son, Khirod Sahu with a *knife during an altercation on Sunday, resulting in his death at the spot.

According to relatives, the father and son had earlier argued over a minor domestic issue on Saturday night. Bibhuti allegedly first assaulted Khirod by throwing bricks and stones. Khirod had filed a complaint with police at the local station, but the family claims authorities did not take immediate preventive action. The situation escalated the next day when the intoxicated father attacked his son again, this time fatally stabbing him.

Local police from Kamakhyanagar have begun an investigation into the circumstances of the crime, including the earlier complaint and whether proper action was taken. The tragic death has raised concerns about domestic violence, alcohol abuse, and police response in rural areas
