Odisha Supply Minister Krushna Chandra Patra has assured that all farmers’ paddy will be purchased by the government, and no farmer will suffer hardship in selling their produce. He said that even boiled paddy farmers can sell their stock in the open market, and the government will procure paddy according to the established support rules — 19 quintals per acre for irrigated land and 13 quintals per acre for unirrigated land under the Amanbharej (Price Support Procurement) policy.
