At the opening of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, Doval reflected on how youth and experience differ across generations but stressed that decision-making ability remains constant and vital. He said India will become a developed nation at the pace set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, even if it were to run “on autopilot.” But the real question, he added, is who will lead that developed India and how capable they will be. Doval emphasised that timely, confident decisions with conviction are the greatest strength of any leader, and urged today’s youth to cultivate this skill now to lead in fields such as science, technology and security.
