In a disturbing incident from Odisha's Nayagarh district, a Class 8 student from Bhubaneswar was reportedly abducted by a man from her village. The abduction allegedly occurred with the intent of coercing her into marriage. The victim, a minor, was studying at a higher secondary school in Bhubaneswar before the incident.

The accused, identified as a resident of the victim's native village, is said to have taken her to an undisclosed location. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the matter.
