MEA Slams Pakistan Over Ram Mandir Flag Hoisting: “Focus on Your Own Human Rights Record First”

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) strongly rebutted Pakistan’s criticism of the recent saffron flag-hoisting at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that Pakistan, with its history of bigotry and repression of minorities, has no moral authority to lecture India.

He added, “Rather than delivering hypocritical homilies, Pakistan should focus on its own abysmal human rights record.” The remarks came after Pakistan alleged that the temple construction was an attempt to erase Muslim heritage.

The flag-hoisting ceremony, attended by PM Narendra Modi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, marked the completion of the temple construction. PM Modi called the event a deeply moving experience and stated that the flag would inspire Indians to honour their commitments even at great personal cost.
