A major fire incident was reported at Karanjia town in Mayurbhanj district, where two garment shops caught fire, triggering panic in the area. The blaze broke out at Sarita Cloth Store and a Matching Centre, with flames raging fiercely and thick smoke engulfing the entire surroundings.

Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and are continuing efforts to bring the fire under control. Visuals from the scene show the shops burning “hutu hutu”—a local expression indicating intense flames—while smoke filled the atmosphere.
