In a major robbery at a jewellery shop near Thakurhat in Kendrapara, thieves cut open the shutter and made off with valuables worth around ₹50 lakh, police said — the loot includes about 220 grams of gold and 12 kg of silver ornaments stolen from the store in the early hours, prompting a detailed investigation by local law enforcement; officials have registered a case and are analysing CCTV footage to identify the accused and recover the stolen items.
