ପଶ୍ଚିମବଙ୍ଗ ଶ୍ରମିକ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ମାମଲାରେ ମମତାଙ୍କ ବୟାନକୁ କଡ଼ା ନିନ୍ଦା କଲେ ମନମୋହନ ସାମଲ। କହିଲେ ମମତାଙ୍କ ଅଭିଯୋଗର କୌଣସି ଭିତ୍ତି କି ଆଧାର ନାହିଁ। ଏଭଳି ଘଟଣାରେ ରାଜନୀତି ହେବା କଥା ନୁହେଁ। ଏହା ନିନ୍ଦନୀୟ ଘଟଣା। ଭବିଷ୍ୟତରେ ଏମିତି ଘଟଣା କେମିତି ନଘଟେ, ସେନେଇ ଚର୍ଚ୍ଚା ଆଲୋଚନା ହେବା ଦରକାର। ପ୍ରବାସୀ ଶ୍ରମିକ ମାନେ ଯେଉଁଠି ବି ନିର୍ଯାତନା ପାଉଛନ୍ତି ଦୃଢ଼ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାନୁଷ୍ଠାନ ହେବା ଦରକାର। ବୋଧହୁଏ ମାର୍ଚ୍ଚ ମାସରେ ନିର୍ବାଚନ ଥିବାରୁ ମମତା ଏମିତି କହୁଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି କହିଛନ୍ତି ମନମୋହନ।

Manmohan Samal strongly criticised West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over her statement on the migrant labourer death case in West Bengal. Samal said Mamata’s allegations have no basis or evidence and termed the remarks highly condemnable.

He stated that tragic incidents involving migrant workers should not be politicised. Instead, serious discussions are needed to ensure such incidents do not recur in the future. Samal stressed that wherever migrant workers face harassment or torture, strict action must be taken.

Manmohan Samal further remarked that Mamata Banerjee may have made such statements keeping the upcoming elections, likely in March, in mind. He reiterated that political blame games over human tragedies are unacceptable.
