Lakhs of devotees gathered at Chandrabhaga Tirtha in the Arkakshetra (Konark region) of Odisha on the occasion of Magha Saptami to take the sacred Chandrabhaga holy dip early this morning.

As per tradition, at 4:41 am, the presiding deities — Triveneshwar of Madhipur, Aishaneswar of Santpur, and Dakshineswar of Kurujang — first performed Mahasnan at Chandrabhaga Tirtha. This was followed by ceremonial bathing and darshan of Surya Narayan, after which devotees entered the holy waters.
