A month-old baby girl, allegedly sold by her parents, has been rescued from Bhadrak district’s Bhandaripokhari police station area. The infant from Bayanbanapur village was recovered from Cuttack and admitted to Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital by Bhandaripokhari police. After medical examination, the child will be handed over to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC). The case came to light after the grandmother alleged that the baby was sold for ₹20,000.
