Senior Congress leader Mohammed Moquim, who was recently expelled from the party, has strongly defended his actions, saying he has committed no mistake and only tried to help reform the organisation. Reacting after his expulsion, Moquim said he had written a letter to Sonia Gandhi with the hope that corrective measures would be taken within the party.

“I did nothing wrong. I only showed the mirror to the party so that it could improve itself,” Moquim asserted, adding that he had the courage to point out what he believed were shortcomings within the Congress.
