Heavy rain lashed the Binika area of Subarnapur district, accompanied by hailstorm and strong winds during the afternoon. The sudden weather change brought intense rainfall and gusty winds to the region.

According to the India Meteorological Department, rainfall is likely to continue at several places across the state for the next two days. The department has forecast rain in western and northern Odisha till the morning of the 24th.

Similarly, rainfall is expected in districts of southern, eastern and northern Odisha till the morning of the 25th. The IMD has also warned of lightning, thunder and gusty winds in these areas.
