Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a grand standing ovation at the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament. As he arrived, all Members of Parliament stood up and welcomed him with thunderous applause, with chants of “Modi Modi” echoing through the House.

Addressing PM Modi, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu became emotional and described him as more than a friend — “He is my brother.” Netanyahu said the relationship between India and Israel is not merely an agreement between two nations, but a union of two souls. His remarks drew loud applause from the entire House, with MPs once again standing in honour of the Indian Prime Minister.
