Elephant Dies After Eating Bomb in Odisha’s Angul District

ଅନୁଗୋଳ ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ବୋମା ଖାଇ ଗୁରୁତର ହୋଇଥିବା ହାତୀର ମୃତ୍ୟୁ। କପିଳାସ ହାତୀ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କେନ୍ଦ୍ରରେ ଚିକିତ୍ସାଧୀନ ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ତାର ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ହୋଇଛି। ଏନେଇ ସୂଚନା ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି ଅନୁଗୁଳ DFO। ୩ଟି ଡାକ୍ତରୀ ଦଳ ତାର ଜୀବନ ବଞ୍ଚାଇବାକୁ ଉଦ୍ୟମ ଚଳାଇଥିଲେ। ଅନୁଗୁଳ ବନଖଣ୍ଡ ବନ୍ତଳା ବନାଞ୍ଚଳ ପଥରଗଡ଼ ସାହି ନିକଟରେ ଅସୁସ୍ଥ ହାତୀକୁ ଠାବ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ବୋମା ଖାଇ ହାତୀଟି ଗୁରୁତର ହୋଇଥିଲା।

An elephant that had been critically injured after consuming a bomb in Odisha’s Angul district has died during treatment. The animal was undergoing treatment at the Kapilash Elephant Treatment Centre when it succumbed to its injuries.

Confirming the incident, the Angul Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) said that three veterinary medical teams were engaged in continuous efforts to save the elephant’s life, but the injuries proved fatal.

The ailing elephant was earlier traced near Pathargada Sahi under the Bantala forest range of Angul forest division. Officials said the animal was in a serious condition due to the impact of the bomb it had ingested.
