Bhubaneswar, Odisha — A devotee Amarendra Garabadu has filed a police complaint (etala) at Lingaraj Police Station against temple executive officer Rudranarayana Mahanti. He alleges that during Makar Sankranti rituals at Mahaprabhu Sri Lingaraj Temple, the traditional ritual sequence (Nitikanti) was disrupted and the deity was left without offerings (bhoga), effectively keeping Lord Lingaraj in a fasting state from the evening of 13th to the morning of the 15th.
