Trouble appears to be mounting for former 5T Chairman V. K. Pandian as the Crime Branch has made progress in its investigation into allegations against him. The probe relates to a complaint filed on February 8, 2024, before the State Home Secretary.

The Bharatiya Bikash Parishad has submitted all relevant documents, electronic records and other evidence before the Crime Branch. Its president, Surendra Panigrahi, had earlier received a notice from the Crime Branch seeking verification of the allegations.
