Electricity consumers in Salepur are facing an additional financial burden after Tata Power issued notices demanding extra security deposits. According to the notices, some consumers have been asked to deposit ₹1,500, while others have been directed to pay ₹2,000, leading to widespread resentment among consumers.

Opposing the decision, the Salepur Electricity Consumers’ Association has criticised Tata Power’s move and warned of strong protests against the imposition of the additional security deposit on consumers.
