After a one-day break, cold conditions have returned to the state, with temperatures beginning to drop again from today. As the sky has turned clear, the mercury has fallen by up to 3.6 degrees Celsius in coastal Odisha. The Weather Department has forecast that night temperatures may decrease further in the coming days.

According to the forecast, there will be no major change in night temperatures for the next four to five days, even as cold conditions persist. The department indicated that the intensity of cold is likely to increase gradually.
