Panic prevailed in Rourkela after a charter aircraft developed trouble mid-air and was forced to make an emergency landing. After issuing a Mayday call, the pilot carried out a forced landing, preventing a major aviation disaster.

All passengers and the pilot escaped unhurt, bringing relief amid fears of a crash. However, questions have been raised over the cause of the incident, and a detailed investigation has already begun.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has initiated a probe, while the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) is scheduled to visit the site and conduct a thorough inspection on the following day.
