“BMC & BDA Joint Teams Start Salia Sahi Eviction

ଉଚ୍ଛେଦ ହେବ ସାଲିଆ ସାହି। ବିଏମସି ଓ ବିଡିଏ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ମିଳିତ ଭାବେ ସାଲିଆ ସାହିର କିଛି ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ଉଚ୍ଛେଦ କରିବେ। ଏକାମ୍ର କାନନରୁ ଅନ୍ଧାରୁଆ ୧୩ କିଲୋମିଟର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଲେଫ୍ଟ ପାରାଲାଲ ରାସ୍ତା ପାଇଁ ଏହି ଉଚ୍ଛେଦ କରାଯିବ। ପୂର୍ବରୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଉଛେଦ କରିଥିଲା ବିଡିଏ ଓ ବିଏମସିର ମିଳିତ ଟିମ। ଆଜିଠାରୁ ଆସନ୍ତା ୨୪ ତାରିଖ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ବାକି ଥିବା ଆଉ ପ୍ରାୟ ୫୧୭ ଘର ଉଛେଦ କରାଯିବ

A joint eviction operation by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) has begun in Salia Sahi. The clearance covers areas along the left parallel road from Ekamra Kanan to Andharua, stretching 13 kilometers, and will continue until 24th [of the month]. Around 517 houses are scheduled to be evicted.

Officials stated that the eviction is part of the city’s road development and urban planning initiatives. Earlier phases of the eviction had also been carried out by combined BMC-BDA teams.

This clearance marks a significant urban development step in Bhubaneswar, affecting hundreds of residents and highlighting the challenges of balancing city planning with social impact
