The election process for four Rajya Sabha seats from Odisha has officially begun following the issuance of the formal notification. With this, political parties have intensified their efforts to finalise candidates for the upcoming polls.

After a core committee meeting on Sunday, state leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party held a closed-door discussion today regarding candidate selection. Similarly, the political affairs committee of the Biju Janata Dal also deliberated on potential nominees.

Amid strategic planning for the crucial fourth seat, the President of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee stated that the Indian National Congress will play an active role in the Rajya Sabha elections.
