BDO Accused of Imposing “New Rules” in Balangir

Serious allegations have surfaced in Balangir district that Block Development Officers (BDOs) are enforcing their own rules. Beneficiaries who have not completed housing work despite receiving funds are reportedly having their allowances and ration supplies stopped. After Agalpur, similar complaints have now emerged from Patnagarh block. Patnagarh BDO Suman Minz has allegedly issued official letters directing the stoppage of allowances and ration for such beneficiaries. Questions are now being raised over under which rule such action is being taken against beneficiaries.
