A fire broke out at the ‘Ama Bus’ depot in the Patia area of Bhubaneswar after an electric bus caught fire while stationed at the depot. The incident triggered panic in the area, though no casualties have been reported.

Two Fire Services teams were rushed to the spot and efforts were made to douse the flames. The fire was eventually brought under control.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, according to preliminary information available from the spot.
