In a shocking and heartbreaking case from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, a police constable spent nearly 30 years behind bars over allegations of accepting a ₹20 bribe. The incident dates back to 1996, when constable Babubhai Prajapati was accused of taking the bribe. He was convicted by a lower court in 2004 and sentenced to four years in jail with a fine, which he later challenged in a higher court.
