In Rourkela, Odisha, a science park and planetarium project built at an estimated cost running into crores of rupees has yet to be inaugurated even four years after work began. Residents of the Steel City are raising questions about why the facility — originally intended for science education and public engagement — remains unfinished and unused, despite huge expenditure on equipment and construction. The site is located near Chhend Colony under the city’s development authorities.
