ସରସ୍ୱତୀ ପୂଜା ହେଉଛି ଜ୍ଞାନ, ବିଦ୍ୟା, ବୁଦ୍ଧି, ସଙ୍ଗୀତ ଓ କଳାର ଦେବୀ ମାଁ ସରସ୍ୱତୀଙ୍କୁ ପୂଜା କରିବାର ଏକ ପବିତ୍ର ପର୍ବ। ଏହି ଦିନ ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀ, ଶିକ୍ଷକ ଓ କଳାକାରମାନେ ମାଁଙ୍କ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ପାଇଁ ପୂଜା କରନ୍ତି।
ସକାଳେ ସ୍ନାନ କରି ସଫା କିମ୍ବା ହଳଦିଆ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ପିନ୍ଧାଯାଏ। ପୁସ୍ତକ, କଲମ, ଖାତା, ବାଦ୍ୟଯନ୍ତ୍ର ଓ ପାଠ୍ୟ ସାମଗ୍ରୀକୁ ମାଁ ସରସ୍ୱତୀଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ରଖି ପୂଜା କରାଯାଏ। ଏହି ଦିନ ପଢ଼ାଲେଖା କରାଯାଏ ନାହିଁ, ଏହା ଜ୍ଞାନ ପ୍ରତି ସମ୍ମାନର ଚିହ୍ନ।
