Special Story: Union Health Ministry bans cough syrup for kids under 2 after child deaths

ପିଲାଙ୍କୁ ମନା କଫ୍ ସିରଫ୍ ! ଥଣ୍ଡା କାଶ ପାଇଁ ଔଷଧ ଦେଉଥିଲେ ସାବଧାନ ! କଫ୍ ସିରଫ୍ ନେଇପାରେ ୨ ବର୍ଷରୁ କମ୍ ପିଲାଙ୍କ ଜୀବନ । ବିଶେଷ କରି ଶିଶୁମାନଙ୍କ ଥଣ୍ଡା କାଶ ପାଇଁ ଦିଆଯାଇଥିବା ଔଷଧ ବିପଦ ସାଜିପାରେ । ଏହାକୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ରଖି ୨ ବର୍ଷରୁ କମ୍ ବୟସର ପିଲାଙ୍କୁ କଫ୍ ସିରପ୍ ଦେବାକୁ ମନା କରିଛି କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ସ୍ବାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ମନ୍ତ୍ରାଳୟ ।
The Union Health Ministry has issued strict guidelines against giving cough and cold syrups to children under 2 years of age. The advisory comes after reports from Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, where 11 children allegedly died following cough syrup consumption that led to kidney failure. Similar cases were also reported in Rajasthan.
