No Cough Syrup for Kids Under 2, Says Union Health Ministry

ପିଲାଙ୍କୁ ଘାତକ ସାଜିପାରେ ଥଣ୍ଡା କାଶ ପାଇଁ ଖାଉଥିବା ଔଷଧ। ବିଶେଷ କରି ଶିଶୁମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ବିପଦ ସାଜିପାରେ। ଏହାକୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ରଖି ୨ ବର୍ଷରୁ କମ୍ ବୟସର ପିଲାଙ୍କୁ କଫ୍ ସିରପ୍ ଦେବାକୁ ମନା କରିଛି କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ସ୍ବାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ମନ୍ତ୍ରାଳୟ। କଫ୍ ସିରପ୍ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ଅଭିଯୋଗ ପରେ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ସ୍ବାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ମନ୍ତ୍ରାଳୟ ଏକ ଗାଇଡଲାଇନ୍ ଜାରି କରିଛି। ଶିଶୁଙ୍କୁ କଫ୍ ସିରପ୍ ଉପରେ ଆଡଭଇଜରି ଜାରି କରିଛି ସ୍ବାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ମନ୍ତ୍ରାଳୟ। ଯେଉଁଥିରେ ଦର୍ଶାଯାଇଛି ଯେ, ୨ ବର୍ଷରୁ କମ୍ ବୟସର ପିଲାଙ୍କୁ କାଶ ଏବଂ ଥଣ୍ଡା ଔଷଧ ଦେବା ମନା।

The Union Health Ministry has issued an advisory warning parents and doctors not to give cough and cold syrups to children below 2 years of age. The ministry has stated that such medicines can be harmful and may even prove fatal for infants.
