A discussion may once again take place in the Odisha Legislative Assembly over the issue of increasing MLAs’ salaries. BJP MLA Bhaskar Madhei informed that the bill related to the salary hike could be reconsidered. The matter had earlier been discussed during the previous Assembly session.

According to Bhaskar Madhei, there is a proposal to increase the salary, but deliberations will be held on whether it should be Rs 3.5 lakh or a lesser amount. He stated that discussions will be held on a proposal that is acceptable from all sides.
