Vigilance Cracks Down on Corrupt Police & Officials in Odisha

ଲାଞ୍ଚୁଆ ହେଉଛି ପୋଲିସ, ଦୁର୍ନୀତିଖୋରଙ୍କ ଅଣ୍ଟା ଭାଙ୍ଗୁଛି ଭିଜିଲାନ୍ସ। ଦେଢ ବର୍ଷ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଦୁର୍ନୀତି ନିବାରଣ ବିଭାଗ ଦ୍ବାରା ୨୦ ଜଣ ପୋଲିସ ଅଧିକାରୀ ଓ କର୍ମଚାରୀ ଲାଞ୍ଚ ନେଇ ଧରାପଡ଼ିଛନ୍ତି । ସେହିପରି ଦେଢ଼ ବର୍ଷ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ୨୭୧ ଜଣ ସରକାରୀ ଅଧିକାରୀ ଓ କର୍ମଚାରୀଙ୍କୁ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ମକଦ୍ଦମାରେ ଗିରଫ କରାଯାଇଛି । ୧୭୪ ଜଣ ସରକାରୀ ଅଧିକାରୀ ଓ କର୍ମଚାରୀ ଭିଜିଲାନ୍ସ କୋର୍ଟରେ ଦଣ୍ଡିତ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି ।

Odisha’s Vigilance Department has caught 20 police officers and staff accepting bribes over the past one and a half years. In the same period, 271 government officers and employees were arrested in various cases, and 174 have been penalized in Vigilance Court.
