In Bikaner (Rajasthan), a grand “Mayra” ceremony took place during the wedding of two nephews. In this traditional ritual, maternal uncles (mamas) present gifts and blessings to their sister’s family. The two uncles gave an extravagant amount of money, jewelry, and other gifts worth crores of rupees, making this Mayra one of the most talked-about celebrations in the state.
