India plans to significantly reduce tariffs on cars imported from the European Union, slashing duties to 40% from as high as 110%. This marks one of the most substantial openings of the country's massive automotive market yet, as both sides near finalizing a comprehensive free trade agreement (FTA) that could be announced as early as Tuesday.
