In Malkangiri district, inter-village tension flared up between Rakhelguda and MV-26/MV-3 after a headless woman’s dead body was recovered. The discovery triggered conflict: one group reportedly set fire to a house in MV-26, while members of the Bangiya community staged a protest outside the District Collector’s office. In response to escalating unrest, internet services were suspended from 6 PM yesterday for 24 hours — yet the disturbance continues despite police presence.
