Khandagiri is set to come alive from today with the commencement of the Khandagiri Jatra Mahakumbh. The cultural festival begins today and will continue till the 7th, featuring performances by around 15 Jatra parties, with nightly shows breaking the silence of the area.

Renowned opera and Jatra troupes will present their hit plays, with Singhabahini, Konark and Ashok Samrat staging performances on the very first night. A major attraction on day one will be the intense face-off between Jatra Bad Boy Piyush Tripathy and Jatra Tiger Daitari Panda. Ticket sales are set to begin from this morning.

As per arrangements, each committee has been permitted 2,500 seats. The Commissionerate Police have issued 14 rules for the event, including a ban on item girls. Amid these preparations and regulations, Jatra lovers are eagerly waiting to witness the performances at Khandagiri.
