Political heat has intensified in Nuapada ahead of elections. Responding strongly to Chief Minister and BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik’s remarks during his campaign visit, Jay Dholakia launched a sharp counterattack. Dholakia said that Naveen Patnaik, who never visited Rajendra Dholakia when he was admitted to a medical hospital, has now come to Nuapada only to seek votes.

During his campaign on Monday, Naveen Patnaik had criticised the BJP and accused Jay Dholakia of stealing a party candidate. Reacting to this, Jay not only defended himself but also alleged that Naveen’s sudden visit was politically motivated.

The exchange highlights growing tensions between the BJD and BJP in western Odisha, as both parties step up their campaigns in the region.
