Farmers in Sambalpur — from Kukudapali and Tabala societies — have blocked the Sindurpank bypass, protesting failures in the token/P-pass system used for paddy procurement. They claim delays and irregularities have left them unable to sell their harvested paddy and receive payment.

Their protest sends a warning loud and clear: unless procurement and payment processes are fixed immediately, many cultivators will suffer heavy losses.
