Govt Slashes IndiGo’s Winter Flight Slots by 5% Amid Massive Cancellations

ସପ୍ତାହେ ଧରି ଦେଶବ୍ୟାପୀ ଇଣ୍ଡିଗୋ ଉଡ଼ାଣ ବାତିଲ ଓ ଯାତ୍ରୀ ହନ୍ତସନ୍ତ ପରେ ଇଣ୍ଡିଗୋ ବିରୋଧରେ ସରକାରଙ୍କ କଡ଼ା କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାନୁଷ୍ଠାନ । ଶୀତ ଋତୁରେ ଇଣ୍ଡିଗୋର ବିମାନ ଉଡ଼ାଣ ୫ ପ୍ରତିଶତ ହ୍ରାସ ପାଇଁ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ସରକାର ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି । ଏହାସହ ଏହି ଉଡ଼ାଣ ସ୍ଲଟ ଅନ୍ୟ ବିମାନ କଂପାନିକୁ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରାଯାଇଛି । ରାଜ୍ୟସଭାରେ ଏହି ସୂଚନା ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି ବେସାମରିକ ବିମାନ ଚଳାଚଳ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କେ. ରାମମୋହନ ନାଇଡୁ ।

In response to widespread flight cancellations, the government has ordered ⁠IndiGo to cut its winter flight schedule by 5 percent — reallocating the freed-up slots to other airlines. The move comes after tens of thousands of passengers were affected by abrupt flight cancellations over the past week.
