Foreign cars are likely to become cheaper in India, with prices of premium brands such as Audi, Mercedes and BMW expected to come down significantly. This follows the proposed historic Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and the European Union, which is set to be concluded today.

The agreement is being described as the “mother of all deals”. According to Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal, negotiations on the India–EU Free Trade Agreement have been successful, paving the way for major changes in trade and import duties.
