Devotees from Bhawanipatna Gather on Puri Badadanda for Lord Jagannath’s Darshan

A large group of devotees from Bhawanipatna has arrived in Puri to offer prayers and witness the divine presence of Lord Jagannath. Around 200 devotees were seen performing kirtan (devotional singing) on Badadanda (Grand Road), the sacred stretch leading to the Jagannath Temple.

Expressing their devotion, one of the participants said, “We are on the Grand Road, performing kirtan. We have come from Bhawanipatna, two hundred of us, to have Mahaprabhu’s darshan.” The atmosphere on Badadanda was charged with spiritual fervour as chants of “Jai Jagannath” echoed through the holy city.

Every year during the Kartika month, thousands of devotees visit Puri to observe rituals, chant bhajans, and seek blessings from Lord Jagannath, considered a deeply auspicious time for spiritual upliftment.
